How did you learn about Career Development Institute, Inc. (CDI)?
“I did my research because I wanted the education I deserve. A quality education is very important to me because I’m investing my time and my money. When I began researching, I looked at the schools with the highest NCLEX-PN passing rates because that was very important for my decision. I narrowed the list and did my homework. That’s when I found CDI.”
What has been your experience so far?
“When I visited CDI, I knew this was the school for me. The staff was warm and inviting, and everyone was really hands on. They are good people. They have small class sizes, which is what I really like.
There are a lot of big name schools out there, but after visiting CDI, I wanted to go here. What makes CDI special is that they are here for you. You are not just another number. It’s a security. I’m glad I’m here.”
Why do you want to become an LVN?
“I am always blown away by people and their stories. I had previously taken some classes and had some clinical experience. I worked with a lot of patients, including a man with Stage 4 colon cancer. His outlook was so positive, and it really struck me. Being around positive people who are dealing with such serious matters is inspiring. Being around positive people keeps me positive.”
What part of the program are you most excited about?
“I can’t wait to enter Term IV where we focus on Maternity and Pediatrics! I am the youngest in my family and always wanted a little sister I could play with and take care of. I hope to become a pediatrics nurse.”
What would you tell prospective students interested in the VN Program?
“Make sure you are ready. This is an investment. I prepared myself and my life for the program. Before I started, I made sure I had my life in order. I bought a car, moved closer to Los Angeles and took a new job that was flexible with my school schedule. I handled the logistics beforehand because my education is very important to me.”
